Dog friendly hotels and pubs near Prestatyn North Wales

Posted by Chris on June 28th, 2011

If you are looking for a dog friendly hotel, bed and breakfast or pub near Prestatyn in North Wales then try The Glan yr Afon Inn just along the A55 towards Chester.

Over the years the Glan has had some great reviews as a Dog friendly pub and hotel such as these articles here:

http://www.flintshirechronicle.co.uk/flintshire-news/local-flintshire-news/2011/02/03/flintshire-pub-dubbed-doggy-heaven-51352-28103123/

and  the Glan is always looking for ways to improve it’s relationship with pets and pet owners.

Recently someone told The Glan that there were no pet friendly hotels in the Prestatyn area and suggested that an Internet post to advise people that The Glan was pet friendly would be a good idea.

Over the years

Dog friendly pubs in Holywell Flintshire

Posted by Chris on January 31st, 2011

If you are looking for a dog friendly pub near Holywell, Flintshire, North Wales then try The Glan yr Afon Inn which takes dog friendliness to new levels ! Sometimes when you go in there it looks like Crufts with some fantastic dogs around. Having said that there are a lot of cross breeds such as Cavapoos  which would not be allowed into Crufts !

On Sundays the owners will often appear with little bowls of meat offcuts for the dogs ( amounts available depending on the number of freshly cooked Sunday Dinners done that day ) and on normal days there are usually dog biscuits being handed out.

Well behaved dogs are allowed in the rooms and with there being a number of breeders around you will often see people there who have come to collect their new puppies.

There are great dog walking places nearby e.g. Halkyn Mountain or along the River Dee so this is just doggie heaven really !!
